Mayonnaise of Fail

My first time making mayonnaise ended with the first time I have ever gotten heartburn. Holy god in glory was that a long night.

So, first I decided to double the recipe. The recipe I followed suggested twice the amount of oil that I actually needed. Reading it again after the epic fail showed that at the very end that you should only use what was needed. I was less then happy.

So the whole thing was liquidy and separating. To fix the separating I put it in the fridge and let it separate as much as it would. I then poured off the excess. I had around 1 1/2 cups too much oil. And while it was still had far too much oil in it it was more sauce-like.

It tasted very good.

As for the heartburn, I am assuming that it was caused by the very potent garlic that I used and not the raw eggs. However, for safeties sake, I think I will be dumping what I made.

Epic Jello

So I made a giant batch of  Jello.

Let me try that again.

I made over 2 gallons of Jello.

Much better. I got a package of Jello at a restraunt supply store that makes a one gallon batch for the same amount that a normal little box cost. So I grabed a few and desided to play around with the messurments.

The first batch was far to simmaler to Jello jigglers. I probably didn't add enugh water. Unfortunatly as I was thinking about it I realised that if it was like the jigglers recipy then I could just add more water to it to make it 'normal'.

Enter batch number two.

This time I added god knows how much water to the mix. I got a giant bowl when I got the Jello so I mixed it in that. Note that my frige is not big enugh to put the giant bowl in it nor was I smart enugh to put the jello in smaller containers. Which turned ut to be a good thing since I ended up dumping the whole batch.

So I move the bowl of Epic Jello into the florada room. The florida room acts as a cold room/freezer in the winter. Very handy if you don't care about that little thing called tempeture controle. Needless to say the jellow froze. It also seperated. Separated Jello is not tasty at all.

I dumped it all.
